Schools and classrooms are bursting with stories. We have spent hundreds of hours filming teachers, students and administrators in classrooms around the country. We understand the language of education and the special challenges of filming in schools. We are committed to using the power of video to communicate ideas and information for the purpose of professional development, research, training and promotion for the modern educational institution.

The Seal of Biliteracy
What does it mean to be a student in the 21st century? High school seniors graduating in this global era will need to communicate across national borders and languages. The film, The Seal of Biliteracy – Celebrating Students of the 21st Century, presents the journey and voices of three students who have all earned the Seal of Biliteracy. The Seal of Biliteracy is affixed to the transcript or diploma of a graduating senior who has meet internationally benchmarked criteria to demonstrate proficiency in English and one or more world languages. But it is more than just a seal. It is a mark of readiness for the 21st Century.

Oracle Education Foundation
As part of its 21st Century Learning initiative, the Oracle Education Foundation
commissioned us to follow one high school classroom on a semester-long project that combined science, language arts and media. The result was seven short videos demonstrating the power and the challenges of project based learning.

“They helped us to meet our goals by communicating a high level of pedagogical information within a compelling storyline….The videos we produced together are now a powerful part of our Project Leaning Institute, which helps teachers worldwide to plan and implement excellent learning projects in their own classrooms.”

Alliant International University
Alliant International University, a private not-for-profit institution, prepares students for professional careers of service and leadership, and it promotes the discovery and application of knowledge to improve the lives of people in diverse communities around the world. Alliant came to us when they needed an orientation video for their teacher-credentialing program.

“Bread and Butter Films was our answer as we floundered to find a ‘public face’ for a multitude of needs. They took the time to listen and knew the questions to ask and then—voilà!—there we were on film in our philosophical best and in a format that attracted rather than bored our audiences.”
